(This poem is dedicated to all Ukrainians who are suffering the worst tragedy of war)
Also this is an inspired translation from the song “ Xin Cho Tôi” created by Trịnh Công Sơn and presented by Khánh Ly.

Please give me one more day
So the clouds can uncover my soul
Please give me one more morning with the pure joy
And one more smile, so I can forget the freshly filled tombs.

Please give me one more chance to say a thousand prayers
In the corner I used to play with a quiet moment to feel alive
Please give me one more silent night,
Without the shattering explosion of deadly bombs.

Please let me see again the flying birds in the blue sky
Together with the ever floating and glowing clouds
Please let me escape this hellish abyss!!
Please let peace come back to my land.

Please just give me one more day
So I can start to build a new love
And see the sun light rising peacefully
And walking on all the roads of my beloved country

Please stop the blood shedding from the youngs and the olds.
Please stop this too long war.
Please give my country a so softy kissing night
So that I can return home.

To embrace my mother’s face
Together with the laughter of my dancing children
So I can utter one more time
The word of love again.

Please give me a still intact body
So I can listen to the song of grass and tree
So I can forget that I am a POW
Drinking to the oblivion!!!

Please give me one more day
To listen to baby’s sound, squirming inside the warm blanket.
Please give me!
Please just give me one more day!!!
